Cottages in Wirdum

Very charming house from the 1600's. Conveniently located for walking but a bit tricky to drive there. The floors on the 2nd floor are very squeaky but given that the house is more than 400 years old, who am I to complain about that? Comfortable bed and enormous bathroom. We really loved the place, mostly because the old charm.

From the off set the communication with the host was excellent. I got a message with the instruction how to get to the house, where to park and how to access the house with the code. The location is superb, right on the water where there are boats passing on the canal, so you can sit all day long if you wish and watch the scenery through the big windows in 3 directions. The house is well equipped with all the kitchen utenciles to the very detail, such as coffee capsules, olive oil, aluminium foil etc, and all the delph and cutlery to make a great dinner with style. Beds are comfortable and the room are spacious and clean. It was a great 2 days which I enjoyed thoroughly.

We really loved our stay at Pean Buiten Akkrum! The cabin was spotless, beautifully designed, and very well organized. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was incredibly cozy, with beautiful views, lots of privacy, and a wonderful connection to nature. One of the things we appreciated most was the focus on sustainability. The hosts kindly offered us fresh eggs from the free-range chickens on the property, which was such a thoughtful touch. We also loved that you can rent a variety of outdoor activities, and there’s a BBQ available that you can simply pick up from the shed and use to grill your own food. A particularly clever idea was the trolley carts available in the parking area. They made it so easy to transport all our luggage and supplies to the cabin, especially when traveling as a family. The cleanliness was outstanding, and the amenities exceeded our expectations. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the cabin itself was built to a very high standard with a real home-away-from-home feeling. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the living room by the fireplace in the evenings. The welcoming gifts were a lovely extra touch that made us feel truly welcome. Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and we would happily return. Highly recommended!

Very pleasant, quiet place, away from the noise of the city. The wooden house is well equipped, the only thing missing was a microwave. Clean, tidy environment, nice host couple. I recommend it to everyone!

The location was beautiful and very relaxing. The property was great and the host was excellent, very friendly and helpful.
