Gesindehaus Charis is a detached holiday home set in Kippenheim in Baden-Württemberg, just 8 km or a 12-minute drive from the Europapark. Guests benefit from a terrace and private garden. Everything! They even took great care of the dogs on a day when I couldn't take them to the conference I was attending.

The area has everything you need if you want some outdoor activity as well - a ranch offering horse riding lessons, wine valleys for a panoramic stroll or drink, complete with local Christmas markets, bakeries, and restaurants. The nearby towns such as Gengenbach and Baden-Baden are so charming and just a short train ride away from Offenburg station. If you go slightly further, you can hike at higher altitudes in Mummelsee and Hornisgrinde.
