Superb location with easy beach access: through the gate, cross the quiet road, down a few steps, and into the water. There are beautiful rocks and lagoons if you love snorkelling. But first: sipping espresso under the villa's olive tree watching a sunrise (moonrise also available from the comfort of the terrace under a ceiling fan). There is a well-equipped kitchen with a washing machine and dishwasher plus many small appliances too. It is an easy 20-minute walk to the town centre along the beautiful seashore. There is a supermarket about 10 minutes away. Good wifi and air conditioning throughout the villa. The bed is fine but it is firm. There is a nearby taverna but we only saw it open a couple of times (we came in early September); The beach bar opposite is good for those days you forget to buy coffee pods albeit expensive. The host is ever so friendly and helpful; when we needed some sharper kitchen knives for cooking with she had them to us later the same day! She also helped with booking a taxi to and from the villa from the ferry with our bags (€15 each way). Aside: we highly recommend hiring an eBike to explore the island (€25 for 24h from LifeCycle). There is a bike rack at the villa, too. If you come in September then be sure to check which Saturday has the Armata festival - it is not to be missed! Highly recommend this villa; We had a very relaxing holiday here.

Our stay at 1800 Mansion was more of an experience than a simple stay. It is a traditional house, perfectly maintained, which made us feel as if we were living in its prime years. The location is outstanding, right in the center of the new port, with a breathtaking sea view that left us speechless. The balcony and rooftop provide the perfect setting for creating unforgettable memories while enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine kindly provided by the host. Apart from the house itself, the experience was made even better by the hostess, Chara. She has so much of positive energy, and it is evident that she loves her job and her house, making every effort to ensure we felt comfortable. I definitely want to come back.

Beautiful property with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Once we got our bearings the walk to the harbour was easy Argira was welcoming and gave us hints about where to visit

It's the perfect place for those looking for authentic Greece. Before the days of expensive crowded Resorts and hotels where all the rooms look identical. I have the impression that those who criticise this place should only spend their time in 4 and 5 star all inclusive hotels. These people will never appreciate such a place.
