Gorgeous mountain views from the room. Well maintained gardens with horses grazing. John and Maeve were great, very friendly and helped with recommendations. Room itself was clean and comfortable. The cottage was fully equipped and it was great to find scones awaiting us and some other sundries on a prettily laid table for breakfast the next day. Nice layout for two couples traveling together, even with a single bathroom. We enjoyed the fire and comfortable living area and well equipped kitchen. Had a fabulous dinner at the recommended Moran's. The country setting (including nearby donkeys!), with walks out the door, suited us and was centrally located to all we came for (such as the Cliffs of Moher by sea, the Burrens, St. Kilmacduagh, Leamaneh Castle, Ballyvaughan, Maumturk Mtns, the 12 Bens, Galway, Kylemore Abbey, Roundstone, Clifden). In wild and wooly weather, it was very good to head "home" to cozy lodgings.

There was a fire lit in the fireplace. Mike told us the wonderful history of this place and his family. I will recommend it to everyone. A wonderful place where you can feel the breath of history.

Stayed with a group of 10 friends to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The cottages were gorgeous and there was so much space for a group. It was very warm and cosy and the heat was on when we arrived. Beautiful decorated and it was located in a lovely quiet area a short drive (6-7 mins) from Charlestown where we were able to pick up a takeaway. The owners had left tea waters milk etc and the bathrooms were full with shampoos soap etc. The check in was easy and the owners were very helpful and easy to contact.

Wow - what a great place to stay for three nights just outside of Galway! The owner, Jacqueline, could not have been anymore accommodating. She was so nice and even provided us w/ an extra gift for my 50th birthday. We arrived to a beautiful Irish oasis with a wonderful view and a welcome basket. Our family enjoyed the short walk to the sea and the amazing seascapes. I can’t say enough about this cottage, it’s charm and the owner’s hospitality. If you are looking for a traditional Ireland experience then this is the place for you!
