Hotel Huacas is a wonderful new place to stay in Huacas, Guanacaste! The rooms and property are very clean and look great — everything feels fresh and well taken care of. The owners are incredibly kind and go out of their way to make you feel at home. You can really see how much they care about their guests. Perfect location, everything you needed was there. The way the casitas are set up were very comfortable and accommodating. If you have a small party, it’s great. If you have a larger party, you can use the outdoor kitchen, which was wonderful. I was very impressed. The price was so reasonable for the location. Management and owners were just so kind

Tent was amazing as was the hospitality

Rosie and Roger made us feel at home in this comfortable B&B in the pretty countryside near the village of Aguas Claras. Very peaceful and quiet during the day, but noisy at night as we fell asleep with a loud chorus of frogs out our window along a rushing mountain stream. Rosie and Roger attended to our every whim. Offering us rubber boots with which to hike their 40 hectare rain forest, etc…

Lapazul is an absolute gem—easily one of the most memorable places I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. The views are simply breathtaking, perched high in the jungle with the ocean in the distance, and the chance to spot local wildlife adds to the magic. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and have everything you need to truly relax. But what really sets Lapazul apart is the top-notch hospitality. The warmth and attention to detail from the staff is among the best I’ve ever experienced—genuine, personal, and truly caring. Special mention to Mr. Jorge, whose first-class service and warm presence made us feel incredibly welcome. He is, without a doubt, one of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered at any hotel in the world. And the food? Outstanding. Every dish is full of flavor and heart, far surpassing the local restaurants in town. The menu is focused and perfectly executed, with ingredients that shine. You can taste the passion in every bite. If you’re looking to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature and comfort, this is the place. Plus, it’s just a short drive down to the beach at Dominical. I can’t recommend it enough.

Our stay in Hotel Casa Buenavista was amazing. Welcome was great and friendly, room decoration was superb, location was close to the beach with an impressive bay an not crowdy. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel, was very convenient. Swimming pools were perfect too.

The rooms are very private and beautifully decorated. The staff are amazing, kind and helpful with everything. The black sand beach is a 5 minute walk and there are restuarants within walking distance. The hotel is quiet and just far enough away from the busy part of Puerto Viejo.

Family owned and operated. The family was so welcoming and showed us so much hospitality! They went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and special! Brand new everything! Rooms were beautiful! Pool was beautiful and price was unbeatable!! Hotel is walking distance/right in downtown. Each room has their own terrace / sitting area. Nicest hotel in the area!
