Breakfast was amazing and wildlife was everything!

What a delight. Rafael and Marc truly created a jewel of a boutique hotel in the middle of the jungle, yet close enough to the beaches and sights of Tres Ríos de Coronado. Attention to every possible detail seems to be their very motto. The entire hotel facility, the rooms, the restaurant and the pool area are absolutely well-designed, functional and spotless. And on top of all that, Rafael enjoys astonishing their guests with creations of food and drinks that are certainly exceptional. Enjoy!

Hotel Huacas is a wonderful new place to stay in Huacas, Guanacaste! The rooms and property are very clean and look great — everything feels fresh and well taken care of. The owners are incredibly kind and go out of their way to make you feel at home. You can really see how much they care about their guests. Everything! It is nestled in what feels like a forest with a stream running through it

Perfect place very close to surf (couple minutes walk) yet perfect for no surfers. The owners are so nice and super responsive and helpful with local info. The bungalows are new, clean and have a good layout. Place is awesome for groups as all four bungalows are together and around a pool. The outdoor kitchen is great as well! The kids didn’t want to leave it and it felt like a private pool. I will be recommending this place to all our friends.

Wonderful relaxing glam ping experience in a beautiful corner of Costa Rica

The place is amazingly beautiful and magical. The garden, the pool, the room. The facilities are very good. Breakfast was delicious. The hosts are so nice, helped in anything we just asked for, plus they are also very knowledgeable about wild animals in the area. A great recommendation for families. Truly a unique place.

The place looks beautiful, everything is designed delightfully and there’s a true calm atmosphere

Lapazul is an absolute gem—easily one of the most memorable places I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. The views are simply breathtaking, perched high in the jungle with the ocean in the distance, and the chance to spot local wildlife adds to the magic. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and have everything you need to truly relax. But what really sets Lapazul apart is the top-notch hospitality. The warmth and attention to detail from the staff is among the best I’ve ever experienced—genuine, personal, and truly caring. Special mention to Mr. Jorge, whose first-class service and warm presence made us feel incredibly welcome. He is, without a doubt, one of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered at any hotel in the world. And the food? Outstanding. Every dish is full of flavor and heart, far surpassing the local restaurants in town. The menu is focused and perfectly executed, with ingredients that shine. You can taste the passion in every bite. If you’re looking to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature and comfort, this is the place. Plus, it’s just a short drive down to the beach at Dominical. I can’t recommend it enough.

The rooms are very private and beautifully decorated. The staff are amazing, kind and helpful with everything. The black sand beach is a 5 minute walk and there are restuarants within walking distance. The hotel is quiet and just far enough away from the busy part of Puerto Viejo.

The individual villas provided wonderful views of the lagoon and ocean. Views from the bathroom was a bonus. Owner/hosts were very friendly and accommodating and directly supported the evening discussions. Room was quite comfortable and basic. Expect to see and hear birds of all descriptions right from your private terrace.
