The Romantik Hotel Castello Seeschloss is located on the lake-side promenade of Ascona, 300 metres from the centre. It offers historic-style rooms and free internet access. Absolutely perfect. If you want to feel welcomed and relaxed- that’s the place. The receptionist was really nice, the room was clean and comfortable. The pool, the garden, the restaurant all perfect. I highly recommend.

Best hotel in Lugano! Excellent breakfast. Beautiful view. Pool and lake fantastic. Nice staff. Great location close to funicular ride to Monte Bre, ferry to Gandria, Paradiso and other places by the Lugano Lake, the beautiful Parco Ciani and Lugano Centro with a lot of excellent restaurants, shopping and cafe's. You can easily walk. If you prefer to take the bus its for free (Ticino Pass from the hotel) and taxi is not expensive in my opinion.

Once a patrician residence built in the 18th century, the Hotel Tamaro can be found right on the banks of Lake Maggiore in the centre of Ascona. definitely the best position in town.. large rooms beautifully decorated

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. The buffert breakfast was a big plus for us!

The family-run Continental Parkhotel is located 200 metres south of the main railway station of Lugano, where the funicular leaves regularly for the city centre. Great hotel, very happy with this choice. Very helpful staff, beautiful facilities and nice breakfast location. Loved the pool area and gardens.

Situated on the lake promenade near the traffic-free centre of Lugano, Hotel Walter Au Lac offers you rooms with superb lake views. WiFi is free of charge. All air-conditioned rooms are renovated. The location was excellent, walking distance to the main train station. We had a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. The hotel gave us free city bus tickets to use for our stay! Also, the breakfast was great for us and had a beautiful view.
