Hotel Plaza is set in the heart of Salerno, directly opposite the railway station, and close to the bus terminal and the pretty seafront promenade. A buffet breakfast is provided daily. Each morning, we awoke to the aroma of freshly baked pastries . The breakfast spread was nothing short of magnificent—fresh fruits, locally sourced cheeses, artisan breads, and rich Italian coffee that started our days on the perfect note.

After a day exploring the delights of the Amalfi Coast you will enjoy relaxing on your balcony at Sorrento City; 100 metres from the station in the heart of Sorrento. The staff were lovely and friendly and helped us with any queries including directions on getting to the port (google only gave us the option of climbing down lots of steps). The room was clean and had everything we needed including a coffee maker and capsules. We had a room with a small balcony overlooking the ground floor garden which was great for eating our meals al fresco, and smoking was allowed which was handy because I smoke The location was excellent - right in the centre of town and close to everything - although it has a small shopfront which we walked right past the first time but found when we backtracked. The breakfast was lovely and had a good selection of dishes. We didn't get to see the rooftop terrace because it is only open at night. The free wi-fi was handy for my 18 year old grandson.

They were able to arrange a last minute transfer from airport on the very same day of a national strike. Breakfast was correct with many options. Piazza Bellini is fun and fantastic. Do not miss the aperitivo time! Nice farewell gift for our daughter.
