They included free breakfsst and water, which was very nice. Additionally they renewed all Our towels every few days. We were four people in one room so it was very nice that there were 3 additional public bathrooms :)

The room and public area are very tidy and clean. It’s good for solo travelers. I had a great stay in piece hostel Kyoto and would choose here again next time.

A 1000 year-old Buddhist temple, Shukubo Koya-san Eko-in offers Japanese-style accommodation, a beautiful garden and free WiFi. Guests are free to attend Buddhist morning services, the Goma fire ritual and meditation. The location, room, garden has awesome atmosphere- I loved the meditation session and the fire ritual! We stayed for two nights and took evening cemetery tour which was informative and mysterious at the same time! Dinners are superb! I booked family room for two of us and it was great and spacious. I would recommend this place for anyone interested in Buddhism or with appreciation of esoteric teachings. Staff is caring and attentive!
