We only stayed for one night, but it was just before Halloween and they were organizing a party. So we had a great time with the staff and others guests. The whole house is a traditional japanese house, very well equipped and maintained and our room was quite spacious. Great place to venture out in the city and meet people.

very good butler service, friendly GSM especially when see us having children together. just a little feedback about the housekeeping, the clothes did not fold for us , and some details need to be more details & care as we are family travel. But general is very good. Breakfast service and food is good.

Ryokan Izuyasu is run by a 7th generation owner and his family and they have kept the business going for 180 years... And you can tell! I am not joking when I say this was the best accommodation we had in our 18 days in Japan. We saved the best for last and were welcomed around 3pm for check-in, and after a rainy day in Kyoto we could soak for about 2 hours in the hot tub which was even nicer than we expected. Afterwards, we put on our yukata and enjoyed the best dinner we had during our stay. Immaculate fresh food with a personal, Japanse twist from the chef, accompanied with thoughtful details and information with every course. Afterwards we slept like a rose and felt really relaxed after so many days of traveling.

Just a 12-minute walk from Kyoto Station, hotel kanra kyoto is an entirely non-smoking hotel, offering spacious rooms and a mix of traditional Japanese, modern and Western decor.

Modern vibe with terrific staff from housekeeping, FO, F&B very helpful and welcoming. Our room with the wooden tub and unique design features was a great experience and the breakfast and sitting lounge very well thought out.
