It provides a tour desk and a bar on the ground floor. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Super nice staff that were helpful and greeted us! such a nice experience. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Kyoto. The Location was also in a quiet neighboorhood, which wasn't too far away from attractions and stuff.

Ideally located just a 10-minute walk from the iconic Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Guesthouse Soi offers various rooms including private Japanese-style rooms and dormitory rooms. Both Kiyomizu Gojo and Shichijo stations for the Keihan Main Line are situated within a 10-minute walk. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. A few minutes away from the Kyoto station and has many attractions nearby. A good and safe place for solo travelers. All the necessary facilities are available. The coffee/tea station is opened 24 hours that one can enjoy freely. The staff is very friendly and they can serve as your personal tour guides for Kyoto. My suggestion is to follow their recommendations for food and sightseeing, you wouldn't be disappointed. I really liked the common places. P.S. Don't forget to ask Maki and Sim cute meet :D

Opening in March 2014, Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei offers accommodations with a modern yet traditional décor. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property and guests can refresh in the public bath. Shijo and Karasuma Station are both within a 10-minute walk away. Staff is super kind, room was quite large (I am a single traveller and got a double room). Position is good to walk to Pontocho and Gion (30 mins more or less) and there are lots of restaurants nearby. Checkout is at 12pm, very good! If I will return to Kyoto I will choose this hotel again.

Opened in April 2013 with brand new facilities, Piece Hostel Kyoto is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. It features a spacious and comfortable lounge, a tatami (woven-straw) terrace and a wall-size map with latest event information around Kyoto. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property, while portable WiFi devices are available for guests to use during their stay for an additional fee. Great location, just a 5-10 minute walk from the train station, making it super convenient. There’s also a LUUP stand right next to the hostel, perfect for renting bikes and exploring the area. The staff is excellent… fluent in English, very helpful, and proactive. I had a minor foot injury during my stay, and they went above and beyond to assist me. They helped set up an appointment with a doctor and provided detailed options for nearby hospitals, which was incredibly reassuring. The hostel itself is well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and the staff truly stands out for their efficiency and friendliness. A highlight of my stay was the game night.. playing Mario Kart with others was so much fun! The hostel has a warm and social atmosphere. Highly recommend staying here!

Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Guests can wear colourful yukata robes at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. ○ Wow. Probably the nicest ryokan I’ve ever stayed at in Japan. ○ Room was incredibly spacious. Lots of space for walking around, different areas to sit. ○ Futon were very plush and comfortable. ○ The onsen in the ryokan were both amazing, but especially the cave one. Its nice that at night, they are private (no reservations, just need to check until they are open) and then separated by gender in the morning. ○ Breakfast and dinner were both delicious. ○ The chance to wear kimono, especially since you get to pick out the kimono, obi, and jacket. They also have hair clips. Also, the chance to have a tea ceremony after check in. Both these experiences were awesome. ○ On top of the rental yukata, geta, tabi socks, towels, and bag for the onsen, we were also given thick winter jackets to go over the yukata to keep us warm. It made walking around at night during winter much more enjoyable. ○ Also the free onsen pass! One of the many perks of staying at a ryokan. You can use it from check in until 1PM the day of checkout. ○ The owner was so incredibly kind, offering to take photos of us. We ended up walking around for more than half an hour to his favorite spots and getting some amazing shots. ○ Free parking is a bit removed, but that isn’t a big deal since the town is so small. They allowed us to park there from the morning of our stay and drop off our bags so we didn’t need to carry them across town. By the time we came for check in, our bags were in the room already.

Guests are free to attend Buddhist morning services, the Goma fire ritual and meditation. Great monastery experience! The place was peaceful and comfortable, the staff was excellent, and the onsen was fantastic. The entire experience was perfect. They offered a meditation class and a special ritual, both of which were truly beautiful experiences. The food was memorable
