Mitsui Garden Hotel Kumamoto is a 20-minute walk from Kumamoto Castle and a 5-minute drive from JR Kumamoto Station. It offers modern accommodation with a cafe, massage services and free internet. Great location, central and close to main sites in the city centre. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, good value for what we paid. The room was clean and the common spaces were also nice. Parking was straightforward and the staff was very helpful.

Dormy Inn Kumamoto Natural Hot Spring is centrally located in Kumamoto, in front of the Kumamoto Bus Terminal and 1.6 km from the JR Kumamoto Station. Room size was extremely comfortable for a solo traveler. Facilities were clean, bed was comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful. Public hot spring baths were clean and well supplied.
