Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located at Estrada das Covas nº8, São Jorge, Madeira Island, 50 km from Funchal. The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes. Teresa is a very welcoming person. We like our stay a lot. Bed is very comfortable. The room and facilities are very clean. Breakfast is just great and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Highly recommended.

The staff and the facilities provided were really good. They also provide organized hikes with drop and pickups.

Excellent service from the moment you enter the hotel. All staff extremely friendly. Nice rooftop pool and bar/lounge. Rooms have everything you need. Left before breakfast but got a breakfast box that had more food than I could eat. Free spa admission with a steam room and Turkish bath complimentary. Nice restaurant and ambiance throughout the hotel. Highly recommended.

푼샬 올드타운에서 900m 떨어진 이 복원된 마데리아 맨션은 아름다운 바다, 도시, 산의 전망을 감상하실 수 있는 식물 정원과 테라스를 보유하고 있습니다. 투숙객은 무료 Wi-Fi와 지붕이 덮인 무료 전용 주차장을 이용하실 수 있습니다. Breakfast was in a-la-carte style (but you can order out of the menu whatever you want and how much you want) : always staff were offering fresh juices. Room was with a great view to Funchal and ocean, nice sunsets. Balcony was not private (shared with 3 rooms), but during our stay we were using it alone. There were living two dogs Labradore in the hotel that cheered us up every morning :). View from hotel is amazing - you can enjoy it every morning with delicious breakfast. Hotel location is also good- next to the restaurant street. Recommend this hotel for sure!

Great 4 star hotel,excellent breakfast, has pools, privet beach access in city center. Free parking, walking distance to main attractions. Would recommend.
