Everything was great: - really nice staff; they offered us a bigger room as a courtesy; they allowed a late check-out without additional costs; they made every effort to communicate even if they struggled with English; - very clean and confortable rooms; - excellent location, with gorgeous views and within a short drive to the ski resort in Winterberg; the building is from 1791, it has all the modern technology needed for a comfortable stay but keeps the style, tradition and elegance of over 200 years ago; - excellent buffet breakfast, with a very wide selection.

I booked late and arrived late after a 14km hike! The kitchen was already closed, but they still made me a light meal! Ibwas only there for one night, but everything looked so good and the people were very helpful! The breakfast was very good, but as i've been to many hotels, the breakfast was standard for that kind of pricerange, so that's still excelent but not different. It might be because i chose the stirred eggs and bacon with herbs mixed in(so not very local). The outside was very nice and clean! Eventough they(landscapers) were working outside my window i only noticed when i opened the windows. So even for a short stay this was worth the max amount of stars!
