Matthias is a great host, very attentive and helpful. The area is beautiful and great for hiking. It's also a good place to stay if you want to do day car trips - both Montreux and Zermatt are within 1 hour drive.

Please note that the toilet and kitchenette are situated in a small private chalet near the yurt. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, they gave us tips for our hiking trips and were always happy to answer our question. The surrounding area is beautiful, great for outdoor activities.

As I had injured my foot, we were offered a room in the castle to save me walking so far for meals etc. our room was spacious with a balcony and superb view. The staff were very obliging, friendly and happy - we felt very at home here.

We stayed in a small cabin and it was ample space and thoughtfully laid out for comfort. The bathroom facilities were so clean and functional! The community kitchen is wonderful with refrigerator space and shared dishes/pots with dish soap/drying towels. There were also other washing areas- clean and very functional. We did not partake of the restaurant and bar, but they were well attended.
