Furthermore, Karel V is located centrally in Utrecht, so the city is yours without the need of cycling or driving.

Design is wonderful, room is comfortable and had the space for all we needed, fireplace was just right, and everything is just so well thought of, we had a hard time leaving 🙏🏼 Above all, Veronique and Werner were absolutely amazing to meet- they are beyond welcoming, so helpful with great recommendations m, and our shared conversations are one of our trip’s highlights.

The area was so quiet and in the evening the geese had dinner around the lodge and they even came near our terrace. Communication with the Team of Waterlinie Lodges was great and they were very helpful. Would definitely stay there again, but next time longer :)

The area is quiet and we have all we need at the house. The lady host is exceptionally helpful. We arrived late, she waited to greet us in the house, showing us around and helped us with laundry late at night and returned early in the morning before we headed out.

This hotel is truly exceptional. Every detail delights. The bathtub in the room was simply marvellous. The town of Abcoude is charming and inviting. I will return with great pleasure to this carefully restored gem.
