It exceeded our expectations! The vintage building has been upgraded without losing it's charm. The wood floors are beautiful preserved and they creak in that way the says you're home. The weather was cold and raining when we arrived but the room was toasty and welcoming like a warm cozy winter's night. The cleaning staff was warm, friendly and happy; singing contentedly while working. I love when employees are happy and enjoy their jobs. It makes for a wonderful atmosphere. It felt good, if that makes sense. We had breakfast included with our reservation. There was a wide selection of breakfast items: a variety of breads, fruit and juices, hot food like eggs, bacon, sausage, fried mushrooms, yogurt, granola, more condiments than you need but are appreciated, and hot coffee and a hot coffee station for special selections like cappuccino. The staff here went above and beyond to make sure we had a hot breakfast when we arrived late on our first morning. Every morning after that was the same amazing service and happy disposition. We were impressed with everyone that we encountered during our visit, from reception to housekeeping. Great job Avenida

El hotel es muy lindo, cómodo y muy bueno el kids club para que los chicos jueguen (acompañados). tiene una muy buena ubicación para visitar todos los pueblos surferos de alrededor. No perderse Óbidos, Nazaré, Ericeira y peniche

This 5-star hotel is situated in a historic palace. Quinta das Lágrimas offers 3 room types: Palace Rooms once accommodated the Duke of Wellington and Garden Rooms overlook the botanical garden. Welcome to the property was great. Little touches like Beirao in the room and a pastry too were wonderful! The grounds are beautiful and historic. We will definitely return!!

I would like to thank the owners for making our visit very memorable. We were on the tail end of a long trip and wanted a quiet place near the coast we could relax before heading back to the states. The view from the hotel is beautiful, especially at breakfast or evening. Our room was spacious, bed was perfect and we could walk out onto a vast patio. We got the grand tour from the owner and quite the history lesson in his liquor cellar. The breakfast was delicious and specially made just for us. The owner and his family made us feel very welcome. He gave us excellent recommendations not only around Foz but the entire area.
