Room was great.. We booked a room expecting a double bed and a sofa bed in the same space, but were surprised to find the room divided into two separate rooms — one with a double bed and one with the sofa bed. On the upside, both rooms had their own TVs, which was a nice touch.

This was the property that we were most looking forward to during our visit to Sweden. We were not disappointed. The room was large and comfortable, with the separate bathroom and an added bonus of a sauna. We loved the vintage feel and the history of the place. Breakfast was an excellent spread, catering for all tastes. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our meal in the restaurant was exceptional. Free parking on site. We spent 3 days exploring the Halle-Hunneberg area. A very special experience.

This quiet hotel lies by Lake Vänern, just 5 minutes’ drive from Vänersborg city centre. It has a gym and spa and offers free Wi-Fi, pool and sauna access.

The staff were exceptional, so helpful, kind and accommodating. The breakfast was beautiful and catered to the entire family's breakfast preferences. The facilities were incredible, as a family we particularly liked the pool. Also extra kudos to professional night owl Helen, anything we asked was not too big or small and she was able to help with anything at the drop of a hat. Thank you. We can't wait to come back.
