Scenic and cultural highlight of our 10 days Albania visit. A true insight onto rural side of the very south of Albania, and its vibrant past. Traditional “as is” village of Leus and yet an incredible accommodation amidst all this. What the host Guillermo is doing here is a true pioneer effort. One of the most beautiful small orthodox churches is located in the village. If you consider your Albania trip to be a cultural experience stopping at this place for a single night at least is must. I will come back soon to explore the mountains in the area again.

An ideal place to unwind and savor the natural beauty surrounding this guesthouse. The rooms were simple yet beautiful, equipped with everything one might need; cleanliness and comfort were outstanding, earning a perfect 10/10. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this guesthouse, particularly for the tranquility it provided. I plan to revisit in the summer and wholeheartedly recommend it to others to experience.

Alexandra was so lovely as were her breakfasts! All details were looked after and the entire place was super clean. Quiet location close to Villa Permet, 5 minute walk to town. Garden was so pretty. We hated to leave!

The location is central. I had a balcony looking onto the street. It was very nice to sit out there in the evening. Across the street is a vegetable vendor, a nice lady selling cheese, raki, and herbs, a bakery, and an open market that was full of vendors selling fruits, vegetables, clothing, flour, etc. in the morning. Joani was friendly and efficient. His mother, who cooked breakfast, was very nice also. Note: It was midday when I arrived and the restaurant was closed for siesta (This town is empty in the heat of the afternoon, but when evening comes, the entire population comes out onto the street to stroll, eat, drink espresso, eat dessert, etc.) I just asked the vegetable lady across the street. She made a quick call and Joani arrived in two minutes to let me into my room!

The host was an absolute delight and looked after us with breakfast, towels etc. Room was well equipped and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious- lots to choose from and espresso coffee.

The breakfast was very nice, you should definitively buy lunch or dinner there as well. Everything you eat is produced on the form and tasts great.

We really enjoyed staying at Joan's Guesthouse and can only recommend it: a well-maintained house with a beautiful veranda, located in a quiet residential area and within walking distance to the centre, good rooms, a great breakfast, but above all a very warm and helpful hostess. She spontaneously organised a rafting trip for us the next day. Thank you again!
