Just Wonderful! Calm and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stop. Very well maintained, tidy and friendly. Don't be put off by the shared facilities, they only have a few rooms and showers/bathrooms are very, very fresh (and you have water in the room as well). Nice breakfast, not a large buffet but everything you need. Do take this road instead of the tunnel and stop here! Good parking, possible to buy homemade dinner too. It tasted very well and was freshly prepared on order.

Wow - what a wonderful place for a relaxing stay. The hosts were charming and helpful. The accommodation far exceeded our expectations - spacious and comfortable with quality furnishings and even a separate kitchen and terrace we would love to have used if warmer. The river was only 200m away for relaxing walks, and a 24hr self-serve supermarket completed the rural escape convenience! Truly one of the best stays we have had - we could not rate it highly enough!

There is a very kind, beautiful cat living in the house.We really liked the cat! The house is always very clean. The robot vacuum cleaner regularly cleans the house ! You can also use the sauna . We had a wonderful holiday in this house!!! I recommenend to everyone!!! We will definitely com to this house again!!!!!!!!

Beautiful location, overlooking a tranquil lake surrounded by mountains. Horses and apple orchard. Morning fog on the lake was lovely. The calls of cranes echoing from the hills. The 1770 stabbur was very roomy and well-equipped with bathroom, kitchen, TV. I loved the history of the place—like a museum. Short drive to Bo or Lunde, Telemark. Torstein and Goril were charming hosts. I plan to return and recommend to my family.

Quiet, historical location allows you to watch the operation of the locks. Having a restaurant on site was a big plus. We had a lovely dinner on the porch, and the breakfast the next morning was just fine. This was good for a one-night stay, but probably wouldn't want to stay longer than that. Location was great to get to Ulefoss or Lunde to go for a canal boat cruise.

The place was very nice and beautiful. The only thing is that there’s an extra charge of 175 Norwegian kroner per person for bed linen and towels — That is just for the information. Everything else was fine.

Situated in Morgedal, Morgedal Gjestehus features free WiFi and BBQ facilities. All guests can enjoy free coffee and tea. Nice and clean room with enough space, comfortable mattress. Large and clean fridge.
