Hostels in Sermo

Banyu Hostel is a wonderful place to stay. I planned to stay one night, and ended up staying for 10 days. Jafar and his family are amazing people that take good care of their guests and made me feel part of the family since I arrived. They showed me around, offered plenty of delicious food, gave me advice about the best spots to discover and introduced me to the local culture. The location is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, with a second-floor patio where you can meditate, do yoga or enjoy a nice coffee while taking in the incredible view of Borobudur temple. Jafar knows a lot about Borobudur temple and the holy sites nearby. He guided me to understand and live the place in a much deeper and consciuos way. Whenever I needed anything, he provided me with information, contacts, introducing me to local people and events. This is not just a hostel, it feels more like a home where to experience the true spirit of Borobudur, its people and traditions. I am deeply grateful for all the energy that was shared with me in so many ways, and I highly recommed this place to anyone looking for an authentic and meaningful experience in Borobudur.
