Stayokay Hostel Haarlem

The dormitories are well-kept and have bunk beds. Each dormitory has its own bathroom. If you would like more privacy, you may like to book a room with just 2 beds.

The hostel serves a good breakfast each morning and gives you the opportunity to make a lunch package as well at a surcharge. There is a large terrace on the waterfront where you can sit and enjoy the sun. Guests can have a drink and a chat in the accommodation's cafe The Shuffle. Very nice and clean hostel. Friendly and professional staff.

Haarlem City Rooms, Private Hostel

Located in Haarlem, within 700 metres of Lunchcafé Teylers Museum and 1.6 km of Amsterdamse Poort, Haarlem City Rooms, Private Hostel provides accommodation with free WiFi throughout the property. The property is situated 90 metres from De Hallen, 1.5 km from Frans Halsmuseum and 3.1 km from NZH Public Transport Museum. The hostel features family rooms. We were very happy with the accommodation, nice and clean room, close to the main square made our stay in Haarlem really enjoyable. As well the communication with the host was very effective, kind and fast. The only thing we were not happy was the breakfast. We kind had an issue with timing, although breakfast should be from 8:30,the place was never ready at that time.We had to wait every day and the last day was really upsetting, since after getting into restaurant we waited an hour for the breakfast, while guest coming from the street were being served before us. Thought the food was fresh and tasty and server's were polite,we thing there is a place for improvement regarding the opening times.

Hostels – what are they?

Hostels offer so much more than a cheap place to stay – they're also a fun way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens and game rooms give you the chance to swap tips, tricks, and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long way since the first youth hostel opened back in 1912. Nowadays there's something for everyone, from budget "crash pads" to 5-star "poshtels." Whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll see that most hostels are cheaper than local hotels – and a lot more fun, too!
