My heart is full after spending a night here. Right on the Camino and 1km from the river route. The pool was an excellent place to cool my aching feet, the garden area peaceful to process my thoughts, and the pilgrim’s dinner the perfect opportunity to connect with other pilgrims and reflect on the diversity of our individual journeys. There is also a well tuned guitar and piano here so if you’re musical and missing your instrument, this is it! Thank you, Alvorada Medieval, for filling my cup. I arrived empty and depleted, and I left feeling nourished and held.

Right on the Camino. Lovley Alburgue run by very nice and generous couple and equally wonderful volunteers. Although we didn't partake in the communal dinner because we had already eaten, we did sit with everyone and talk. Dinner was pasta with a wonderful lemon cake for dessert and a donation accepted. Wine, beer or soda can be purchased. Diego is a wonderful host and a wealth of information.

Super clean and comfy! Nice decor. Foot bath!!! I like how open and central the kitchen and common area were. More like a living room at home. Very close to the village center with lots of restaurants in a beautiful square. Probably one of the best towns and hostels I’ve stayed in. Private bunk with curtain and all the things you need with a nice mattress too!! Definitely a 10/10 experience.

The kind souls that create those perfect space to unfold on the Camino. Many thanks to Vera & Luis 🫶 The Camino is special because of genuine hearts like them. The bar next door is so much more than a bar… Locals expats & pilgrim create a magnificent space to experience a magical vibe! Even no common spaces are available it was just perfect! The beds were very comfortable and the facilities (showers) were perfect and clean. Forever grateful for experiencing the Camino energy. Caminha is special !
