Casa Maria was very conveniently located by the bus terminal in La Serena meaning we didn’t have to walk for too long with our big bags. Close enough to the centre and approx 25 minute walk to the beach. The hostel itself was very cute and full of flowers in the garden, had lamps and hooks as well as clean, good-sized bathrooms. The hosts were exceptionally friendly, going above and beyond to help us do our washing and give us directions around the town. We loved our stay!

Hostal El Punto is set in La Serena, 2.3 km from the beach and 500 meters from the city Centre. Offering sun terrace and a garden, a barbecue and flat-screen TV is also featured in some rooms. Lovely spot with a few courtyards and lots of spaces to sit and relax. Within a few minutes walk to the centre of the town. Room was lovely. Manuel and Lisa were the best, they arranged my tours and were available for all questions. Breakfast was nice, better than other places I have stayed during this trip.

The family who work here are great. They were very helpful, had bag storage, clothes washing facilities and we're very kind to provide us with breakfast items the evening before, as we were leaving very early on a tour the next day. The room and bathroom was clean and the outdoor seating area is a nice place to sit and relax. The place is close to the bus stations and the centre of town.

The place is walkable to the bus stop, and 10 minutes from downtown and 15 minutes to the light house. The place is extremely clean, each of our rooms had their own bathrooms, and the owner is very lovely, friendly person. Also the common area is very clean, spacious and very well equipped.

Beautiful hostel with very well-equipped kitchen. Everything is very well maintained and clean. We loved the pool, the outdoor area with all its plants, the peace and quiet and above all the open-hearted and helpful family! It was the perfect place to stay in Valle Elqui.

El Arbol Eco Lodge is located in a green and exuberant oasis , full of palm trees and a variety of other trees and flowers, where lots of birds have a peaceful and undisturbed place to live. Great stay, very friendly staff and super comfortable room. Highly recommend!

Located in the city's historic centre, Hostal El Arbol offers accommodations in La Serena. Free Wi-Fi access is available here. A very cool mix of guests from many countries. It's 500m to the Japanese Garden (lots of ducks and swans) and the pedestrian bridge (Pasarela), which connects to the big shopping center and has buses to everywhere in the city, the airport, Coquimbo and Pisco Elqui. TIPS: The upstairs bath is the nicest. Consider staying in Vicuña for a night or two -- very charming, easy access to Pisco, and heaps of deep space observatories with telescopes (Pangue is the best).
