Just a few minutes’ walk from Fort Augustus on the edge of Loch Ness, this award-winning lodge offers four-star hostel accommodation with free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Room was very clean, bathroom en suite was large and clean, bunk beds all had charging stations which was surprising and very helpful. Staff was. Super helpful and bar was well stocked and cozy.

Absolutely amazing hostel! I was supposed to stay just one night, but after meeting such awesome people on my first evening, I couldn’t help but stay another night — seriously, I blame it all on the amazing vibe there! The place itself is super clean, well-organized, and comfy — but that’s just the basics. What really makes it unforgettable is the atmosphere: a warm welcome, fun and friendly vibes, and incredible people from all over the world. And the location? Just wow — right on the shores of Loch Ness, with views that are straight-up breathtaking. Those two nights ended up being the absolute highlight of my whole trip. Can’t recommend it enough — I’ll definitely be back!

There is a shared lounge area with a TV. downdown Drum. a man played bagpipe and there was a picnic area. I stayed in a very small but practical camping hut. Staff were nice and service minded. there is a laundry. there is a shared kitchen living room. No groceries right nearby but had to walk 800 m. perfect when hiking the Great Glen Way.
