The staff also know the region well . We arrived on a Sunday and had to collect a key from a key safe. Instructions very clear and everything worked well, however I knew that if I had a problem there was a back-up plan that was discussed with me. I loved the swifts swooping around in the morning - haven't seen them in years. Guest 2. (younger 20) Liked the size of the room and the shower (which Guest 1 thought was wonderful too. Said room was not too hot and the general toilets on the ground floor were very nice. Loved the starry sky Anything else? I have already recommended it to some people we met while having dinner. Situated in the centre of Solda, Basecamp Nives offers simply furnished rooms with wooden furnishings and free WiFi. Very close to the ski slope and ski bus station is on front of the building. Staff is very friendly, polite and adequate. Breakfast was excellent. Also the food in the bar was very good and not too expensive.
