Nice walk to Nara park from the property past many restaurants and stores. Glad I stayed in here in Nara rather than doing a day trip.

The host is helpful and kind. You can leave lagguage before check in and after check out. Some reviewers complain about cracking noise - yes, this is old wooden house, it cracks, but it is very authentic and very clean.

This property was stunningly beautiful, a wonderful old Japanese tea house. We were absolutely delighted. Not for those looking for a luxurious modern hotel, but absolutely perfect for us. Very close to everywhere we wanted to go, right next to Nara park, but not far from the station. Takashi, our host, was charming and spoke perfect English. He recommended where to go and returned to the house to show us how to turn the heating on when it got cold. We had a wonderful stay and we already miss it!

The owner was very accommodating and attentive to our needs, offering a bright, clean and spacious common kitchen that exceeded our needs to prepare dinner, breakfast and a packed lunch.

The bed was soooo good 🥰 a very good thick mattress and a good thick cover, Everything was Very clean. You have your own bathroom and there is a bath attached to it 🤤. Enough toilet paper and toothbrush. And there is a kitchen, where you can cook your own meal. And of course a smoking area for people who smoke. This was the best place to stay in Japan
