I was in Colombo before and went to Negombo because its a nice place very near the airport. There were certain options to go to, curlys hostel was one of the cheapest in my case. I booked for 3 days and stayed at least 11 days because the room was perfect with a very comfortable bed (I was the only visitor for 8 days) and AC in a cozy house with everything I needed. Curly is a superb host, also the employeed house maker called aunty, the hostel got cleaned every day and the food was delicious. Drank also 'Old Arrack' from Rockland with ice there, can very recommend that spirit

You're able to get an all-you-can-eat continental breakfast at their sister hotel for around 2000 laks as well as access to their pool. It was best way to recover from my long flight. The bed bods are clean with your own socket and reading lamp. The bathrooms are clean and offer hot water. There are plenty of them so I never had to wait in line.
