The location is calm and surrounded by farmland, so you wake up to nature instead of traffic. The rooms are air-conditioned, very clean, and comfortable, and the common areas feel relaxed and welcoming. I booked my Yala safari directly through the hostel and it was amazing. The jeep arrived on time, the driver was knowledgeable, and we were able to see elephants, crocodiles and so many birds. Everything was arranged smoothly, including pickup, entrance tickets, and breakfast in the jungle. It really felt like a professional and well organized tour. One thing I didn’t expect but loved was the eco kitchen. Watching the team prepare traditional Sri Lankan food with fresh farm ingredients was a highlight of my stay. The meals were delicious and made the experience feel more authentic compared to a normal hostel. For anyone visiting Yala National Park, this hostel is a fantastic choice. The value for money is excellent, the staff truly care about guests, and the atmosphere makes you feel at home. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers planning a safari.

It is a renovated cute house. The family who run it is the best! We felt very welcomed, even Supun invited to his birthday party and we had the best night!! If you come to Tangalle you should stay here!!!

We had an incredible stay at Kottamba Villa in Tangalle! From start to finish, our host Lushan went above and beyond to make our visit perfect. He cooked us delicious breakfasts and even prepared an amazing dinner that was ace!. The villa itself is spotless, with so much space to relax and unwind. If you’re off to Tangalle stay here

LOVE IT! This was my favorite place in Sri Lanka! The beach is amazing, and the hostel is right in front of it—literally, you just cross the street! The ocean view from the upper rooms is beautiful! We traveled as a group of four friends, and Sachi always made sure we had everything we needed. The entire staff was super friendly, and the food was good too! I definitely want to come back!

The service was unexpectedly excellent, and the breakfast offered a variety of delicious options for the price. Best lassi in this area.

I actually stayed at his river cabana hostel which was nice. Had great views and was very comfortable. Host was a very cool and chill guy.
