Great stay! I stayed in the hostel section, and it was probably the most luxurious hostel room I've ever stayed in. Everything was very clean, fresh, comfortable, and well maintained. The hosts were kind, welcoming, and always helpful. The location was good, with shops and restaurants nearby and the botanical garden within walking distance. Despite being close to everything, the area was quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended!

This was probably the hostel I stayed at in my 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. It's a brand new place and was exceptionally clean and tidy. Seems like the owner is a backpacker himself since he has made sure to include everything we need in a hostel like massive lockers, curtains for privacy, power point for each bed for charging with a platform to keep the phone while charging. It was the only place on Sri Lanka I found curtains, which I consider is a necessity when staying in hostels. The living room area has a nice TV we can connect to with and phone or laptop to and nice area to chill out or work. The Internet was exceptional. Very easy to get to, just a few minutes in the bus from kandy town. Also going to the lakeside area of kandy was extremely easy as the bus stop is just there. Big thank you to the host for helping me replan my trip he was kind, helpful and spoke English fluently. Apparently he is a traveller himself. Thank you

Only a few steps from the Ambuluwawa Tower, the view here is absolutely mind blowing! And guess what ,if you book the hotel, the entrance is totally free. It’s run by a super sweet young couple, so the vibes are warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. Honestly, between the stunning scenery and the amazing atmosphere, it’s the kind of place you’ll never want to leave

Staff were welcoming on arrival and very helpful. Room was very clean. Bathroom very clean. Cafe restaurant downstairs and a rooftop restaurant, all food was very good. Central location. Value for money. Smaller/quieter hostel. Some lovely views on the rooftop. Allowed me to keep my bag there before check out. Loved my stay here! Kandy is a beautiful place to explore.

After being at this place for 1 night , I just feel oh god can I stay here for a few more days . This place has a vibe . I wish if I could give a 10 star rating for the host too . Been on a backpacking trip in Srilanka for a week till now . As far as I have seen this is the best value for money dorm I have been in . Hopefully I'll come back here soon

Superb hospitality, the most friendly family ever. The host Chathuranga and his mother felt like family, his mum even baked a cake for my arrival afternoon tea.! HUGE BREAKFAST, I couldn't finish it. So many delicious Sri Lanka favourites, coconut roti, dhal, rice, chicken curry, mango, sambal and some sweet fritters, I can't remember the name See the photos, comfortable bed, white fresh sheets, fluffy white towel and thin blanket, Fan in the room, my room had a TV monitor with games console but I didn't use it. 4 toilet cubicles outside, and 2 shower cubicles with HOT WATER. Another 2 wash basins inside, outdoor terrace smoking area. Wonderful views, they offered tea and coffee often, I brought my own instant coffee so they gave me a kettle. Electric power sockets next to each bed. Square pin, adaptor maybe required but they gave me one. Quiet peaceful area. Walking distance to the town, or jump on any bus from the main road, tuk tuk access if required. Access up a driveway from the road, see my photos. (Google may show you right outside a house on the road but the hostel Homestay is accessed from a driveway / slip road 30 metres before) it's just 50 metres up this driveway. Fan jn the room, I didn't use, the room was perfect temperate. It's January now. Handsoap in the washroom. Comfortable lounge chairs and seating area inside and out. The family has only recently started taking guests into the Homestay and I encourage you to stay and enjoy this wonderful Sri Lanka hospitality. I've been to kandy dozens of times over the years and I believe Kandy needs more quality hostels like this with top quality comfortable service and facilities at a budget price. If you are even considering you're options I would definitely choose this because the breakfast included blows the competition away. Anywhere else you would pay good money for the breakfast. As it is included it's a no brainier decision.

Great breakfast and amazing host Nishan

The hosts are incredible, they meet you with a welcome drink, provide home cooked meals for breakfast lunch and dinner with produce from their garden, currency exchange, laundry, tips and advice, answer any questions and can provide lifts into town. Nothing is too much trouble and they want you to have the best stay. The property is beautiful with amazing views of the hills and the facilities are very clean and private. While you eat in their home with them, the dorm and bathroom is in a separate building that also has privacy. The room has lockers and mosquito nets for each bunk and there is fast WiFi. There is also a fan in the room and drinking water available free of charge.
