This hostel offered female only dorms & the lower bunks have curtains which is a bonus. I was on the ground floor which had a toilet, separate washbasin & shower all discreetly separated from the lounge area. There is a second combined toilet/wash basin/shower nearby. The hard working owner, Faisal, is very accommodating & assisted by his sister. He was on reception desk into the evening & serving breakfast in the morning. The breakfast on long tables is very sociable & there's the upper terrace to enjoy too. Getting to the Medina from the airport on the 19 bus is easy (30DHS) but if coming at night, either phone the hostel for directions or take the hostel shuttle as it's down a couple of alleyways off the amazing huge Square. I tipped15 DHS for a lad taking me down the alleys to find it. (I studied Google map beforehand but it was not helpful this time.) The Square is an assault on all the senses but it's absolutely incredible & fun plus I never felt unsafe. Although the hostel is close by, I wasn't disturbed by the noise from it.

Amazing experience at Hostel Red Castle Kasbah. Abdullah and the other two staff were so friendly and made me feel at home. They gave me great tips about Marrakech and we even took pictures together. The place is clean, central, and close to everything. Truly the best vibe, felt like family.
