Onky downside was as a solo traveller it wasnt a very social hostel (maybe all the solo travellers were partying on the beach for nye). But its an amazing hostel especially if travelling with a partner.

San Cristobal Church is 1 km away and Amber Museum is 1.1 km from the hostel. The location was great as it was near the bus station and an easy walk into the old town. The price was very good considering you get a room on your own. I did not use the kitchen but it looked more than capable. The roof top has very nice views over the city. The shower had hot water, which you may appreciate at this altitude. As a tip, take the tour to Sumidero Canyon as opposed to doing it on your own. I did it on my own and it ended up costing 500MXP with the tickets and the collectivo, tour is slightly more expensive.

The staff is extremely kind and helpful, and the house with its spatious patio and terrace will allow you to find a quiet corner for yourself or socialize around a fire they light every night. Located a few steps from the main market, the central plaza, and many of the town's landmarks, the hostel provides all the comforts a traveler needs, you can book one of many interesting tours with them, or ask for any additional info you need. Another marvelous perk is that the hostel offers shelter to rescue dogs, which always add to a frolicky atmosphere. I warmly recommend a stay here, which will most probably turn into one of many.
