We stayed in the room with the private bathroom and it was just perfect. The shower even had hot water (not that you need it with the heat) and the room was really clean and made us feel at home. The hostel is surrounded by nature and they even offer filtered water which is really practical because buying countless plastic bottles was starting to annoy us. They also offer tours to the volcano, scooter rents and other activities for a very fair price. The breakfast is delicious as well, prepared fresh and with love. The owners were super friendly too. They told us what we could do in Ometepe giving their personal opinion on different activities without being pushy or trying to sell us any tours at all. We really loved our stay at Urraca Loca!

Objekat Hostel Life is Good, koji je smešten u gradu Mojogalpa, na 39 km od znamenitosti Vulkan Maderas, u ponudi ima smeštaj sa vrtom, besplatnim privatnim parkingom, zajedničkim salonom i terasom. Excellent atmosphere, very spacious privates and the owners are lovely. They can organise anything for you, scooters, hikes ect.

Objekat Cocos Hostel, koji je smešten u gradu Mojogalpa, ima vrt, zajednički salon, terasu i besplatan WiFi u celom objektu. Staff was so kind, room was clean and comfortable with a fan for each bed, location was perfect for getting on the ferry the next day and they are able to help set up rides/excursions. Excellent value for the price, would definitely stay again!

El Zopilote Permaculture Farm/hostel is a backpackers hostel and a permaculture farm at the same time. We offer various types of hospitality like private rooms, dormitories, camping areas and... An excellent eco place nestled in the woods. The greenery, fresh food with even more fresh ingredients from the backyard. The pizza night, people, staff, owner and so inspiring. Mushroom tour, yoga and so many real activities being run well. Could chill in the hammocks forever. Muchas gracias. The birds , permaculture and the fire show, unmissable. Besos.

Smeštajni objekat Hostal Casa Moreno ima bazen na otvorenom, vrt, zajednički salon i terasu u gradu Mojogalpa. Ovaj hostel sa 3 zvezdice nudi bar. This stay was great for the price that we paid for two air conditioned rooms. The rooms were very accommodating for our travel group of 5 ppl in one family room and 1 person in the other private room.Great restaurants in walking distance. Staff at the hostel is very friendly and helpful. Eventhough, we paid for air conditioning in the rooms- there was also two great fans to circulate the cold air 😇 there is also parking at the hostel for personal vehicle or motorcycles Upon seeing other hostels in the area this one looked far superior and unique .

Objekat Rainbow Caravan Hostel, koji je smešten u gradu Las Pilas, na 17 km od znamenitosti Vulkan Maderas, u ponudi ima smeštaj sa vrtom, besplatnim privatnim parkingom, zajedničkim salonom i barom. The place was very clean and tidy, tranquil, and no noise at night which is rare in Nicaragua because there's always someone making some noise. The food was quality, homemade vegan goodness. Making a fire was cool and it has all the modern amenities like a fridge and cooking equipment so you can bring beer. Didn't have any bugs unlike some of the other hostels i stayed in on Ometepe. It's quite a good location equidistance between the two towns and near the start of Volcan Concepción. I recommend renting an ATV rather than a scooter at the port and picking it up in Ometepe, don't trust the people on the San Jorge side. The hostel also offers scooter rental although I picked mine up at port. Very photogenic hostel and peaceful.

It’s a bit aside from the port city Moyogalpa, so it’s very calm and almost no cars and people here, but still easy to reach by foot from the Centre (15 min walk). It has breakfast included and it’s home cooked food by the family. My room was very spacious, with 1 double and 1 single bed. They had outlets outside and inside, so i could work online here. Ask for both WiFi passwords! The host family was very nice and always tried to help, like when I needed a dentist they found a number. They don’t speak English (as most locals here) but with my broken Spanish and google translate we always understood each other. You can also ask them about the laundry option. Thanks for hosting me!

Objekat B&B, family run homestay, Hospedaje La Penita, koji se nalazi u gradu Altagracia, na 16 km od znamenitosti Vulkan Maderas, nudi smeštaj sa vrtom, besplatnim privatnim parkingom, zajedničkim... Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.
