The owners/staff were super helpful with our plans while in Huaraz, including where to go shopping for some warmer clothes and helped us with an acclimitisation plan. The room was basic but spacious and the breakfasts were fantastic. Good WiFi throughout the property and cheap laundry! We did a few day trips organised via the hostel which were all well run and good value for money.

Erik and his family were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They made you feel like part of their family from the moment you arrived. The rooms are simple and comfortable and the property is on a quiet street. Breakfast is provided in the family kitchen and we had access to cooking facilities and the fridge. We went on an 8-day Huayuash trek with Erik and the whole experience was spectacular. Erik is a very able and knowledgeable guide. He is eager to share his understanding of the mountains, Peruvian history and politics and the rich culture of the country. The food he provides is delicious and his equipment and organizational skills are excellent.

She could always point us in the right direction when we had questions and was full of good advice for things to do in Huaraz and the surrounding areas. She even stayed up past midnight to let us in the first night when our bus was delayed 3 hours.

We could check-in immediately when we arrived by bus to Huaraz at 7am, we also got breakfast right away. The room is basic, but has a hot (electric) shower. The breakfast was good. And we could store our bags when we went on a multi-day trip. We extend our stay here. The family managing the hotel is very friendly and nice. Amazing value for the price.

Set in Huaraz, Krusty Hostel B&B features accommodation with free WiFi and a terrace. All units feature a private bathroom with bath and a fully equipped kitchen. Best value for the price in Huaraz. Rooms are spacious and clean with the hottest shower I had all over Peru. The hostel is full of travelers and outdoor-minded people, and the place connects you to all kinds of tours around Huaraz. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, we could check in early and leave our luggage after check-out until our night bus. I even forgot something at the hostel, and the owner sent it to me in Lima right away. It arrived the next day.

We are really happy we booked this place and for a very decent price you really get a great experience. First, we were able to check-in very early in the morning when we arrived with the night bus from Lima - around 06:00 am. Thank you for that! We really, really needed the break. Second, we were able to check-out a lot later for 50 soles for both so we could rest until the night bus back to Lima. They were really helpful in booking us a taxi for one of our day trips and the owner took us in his car from the hostel to the bus station when we were leaving since there were no available cabs. The room is small but it's great to relax after crazy days of travel and hiking. We had a really clean private bathroom with probably the best running hot water in our entire Peru trip. The bed was really comfortable. There is a small breakfast included in the price. I wrote to the hosts before traveling and they were very responsive and helped me get in contact with an agency to discuss some hiking opportunities. The week we were there they just opened a bar with some nice activities going on so it's a great place to meet fellow travelers and grab something to drink. We recommend this place very highly!
