The pool is another sort of privilege; calm and safe location, comparing to the rest of Iquitos. Julio, the housekeeper, would help me with absolutely everything I needed - driving me to do buy groceries, help around the house, even accompanying me to explore the local area’s gems so I don’t feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. A special thanks to him! The house is massive and would fit a company up to 8 people, but also it’s an incredible stay for a solo person, who seeks quietness and solitude, like in my case. I truly appreciate my time in Guacamayo Azul, and it only leaves me to wonder why it’s not yet fully booked. I wish you that!

I had a good stay at Hospedaje Neydita. The rooms were clean and simple. The owner arranged a tuk tuk driver to take me to Belen Market and he was great. There is also a kitchen to use with drinkable filtered water which is nice. I like they had quite hour between 10pm and 8am so was able to sleep well.
