Apart from that, everything was as advertised, and even better (generous bathroom, clean, high-end appliances, they managed to squeeze in a refrigerator, coffee maker and electric mug for tea, free change of towels). Excellent value for money, friendly staff, great location. Highly recommended.

Situated in a pedestrian area inside Cluj-Napoca's mediaeval city wall, Hostel Retro offers 24-hour reception, free bicycles, as well as a sauna for a surcharge. Great, clean, and comfortable place. Excellent location. I had great conversations with Radu, the owner, who is an encyclopedia of Romanian history and all things Romanian. Will be going back. Highly recommended
