It's the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed at anywhere in the world. The common bathrooms are plentiful and always sparkling clean. Always plenty of soap, shampoo, toilet paper, hand soap and tissue paper. The staff are very friendly and they speak English. This hostel has just about everything, including a well equipped kitchen and a cuddly cat. Superb WiFi. Excellent location 1 min from the bus station. There is a roof top and also a terrace which is excellent for an evening beer. (You might have to search a bit for the light switch there, but it IS there). Drinks, noodles and various snacks for sale, and frozen glasses available in the freezer. The cost of a private room seemed exorbitant considering that it was an internal window less room with common bathroom, but there are so many freebies included. Free coffee, milk, bread, jam, biscuits, bicycles, umbrellas. You'll probably like this place more if you have time to stay more than just 1 night. Top tips: collect change all day, like 5, 10, 20's as when you buy something, you put money in a box.

Hostel owners were very attentive, kind, and flexible. The whole place felt very homey and safe, even for someone like myself who has never traveled alone or stayed at hostels before this trip. Free drinking water, free self-serviced coffee, snacks, microwave, refrigerator, etc. Lobby of hostel sells ice cream and waffles – they were delicious! Couldn't recommend this place more!

Before I arrived, the host sent very clear instructions on how to get there, which made things so easy. When I checked in, he was really friendly and even lent me things like a kettle and cups. I also asked about tours and transport, and he went the extra mile to find information and give me contacts — I really appreciated that. The room was clean, comfortable, and the bed was soft. The area is peaceful, and there’s a big 7-Eleven with a pharmacy just across the street, which makes it super convenient. I actually caught influenza during my stay and had to rest for two days, but thanks to the cozy room and easy access to food and medicine, I was able to recover comfortably. The best part was on the day I checked out — it was early morning, and there were no Grab available, so the host kindly drove me to the bus station on his way to breakfast. That gesture really touched me. Overall, this was one of the kindest and most comfortable stays I’ve had. I truly recommend Ta Kaew Hostel to anyone — it’s clean, quiet, and run by an incredibly caring host.

This is where you can experience authentic Thai hospitality. The location is very convenient — just a few minutes’ walk from the bus terminal and right across from a market. Although there’s a temple nearby, the noise didn’t disturb my sleep as the room is soundproof. Free coffee and hot chocolate are available at the reception, and bicycles are available for rent at a very competitive price.
