Welcome home :) IMPORTANT NOTES: • The Air conditioner is portable. It is in the living room. There is a quiet setting and a loud setting. Adjust to preference. The building does not allow permanent AC's installed, so we have one top of the line portable AC from Delonghi. We encourage you to open the windows as the air is usually cool from the ocean, which saves carbon emissions. • The hot water tank is small, so please note that showers will last a maximum of 6 minutes, and the tank will need 25 minutes to reload before another 6-minute shower is possible completely. Unfortunately, this is the biggest tank we can fit in the space. We apologise if there's any inconvenience. • The shower is over the bathtub. • There are no stairs to the entrance of the apartment from the carpark, however, the lift breaks down an average of 10 days per year, so if you rely on access, with lift, do not book. As fire stairs are used when lift out of order. Please also note we cannot offer any refunds for such an event with lift which is out of our control. IMPORTANT NOTICE: The building elevator/lift will not be available for use starting the 10th of June 2024 until further notice due to upgrade works. Some noise may be heard inside the apartment and in common areas of the building while elevator/lift upgrade works are ongoing. Access via stairwell.

Definitively Sydney, Bondi is one of the world’s great beaches. It’s the closest ocean beach to the city centre (8km away), has consistently good waves, and is great for a refreshing swim (the average water temperature is a considerate 21°C). If the sea’s angry, try the child-friendly saltwater sea baths at either end of the beach. Locals do their morning laps in these pools as the ocean splashes up against the sides. Quite a spectacular daily routine. Two surf clubs – Bondi and North Bondi – patrol the beach between sets of red-and-yellow flags, positioned to avoid the worst rips and holes. Thousands of unfortunates have to be rescued from the surf each year (enough to make a TV show about it), so don’t become a statistic – swim between the flags. Or if not, make sure to keep your feet on the sand when swimming and do not go too far out. Seriously! Surfers carve up sandbar breaks at either end of the beach; it’s a good place for learners, too. The beach has an outdoor workout area and barbecues scattered around. Coin operated ones at the north end. But don't bring booze to your picnic – it's banned on the beach.
