Lakeview Luxury Retreat was established by us (Pam & Trevor King) during 2011 and opened in November that year. The property is a third generation family property to the south-west of Orange and approximately 10 minutes drive to shops and restaurants. We are approximately 3½hours from Sydney and 3 hours from Canberra. Nestled in the heartland of an amazing food and wine region, Lakeview Retreat is tucked in amongst the bushland overlooking the stunning Lake Canobolas. A secluded, luxury escape that gives couples the perfect location to relax, breath and reconnect. The property was inherited from Pam’s family and is now the location of their family home and secluded Villas. “We love watching the sunrise and set, and the colours that brings to the surrounding lake and vegetation, yhe birds, native animals and just the wonder of nature really add something special to this place. We just had to share what we have with others and that’s how the Lakeview Retreat became our passion.”

The Orange region is a great place to relax and reconnect with wineries, restaurants and cafes, art galleries, boutique shops and outdoor activities. Take a drive to our fabulous nearby villages or enjoy the vibrant buzz of one of the country’s most exciting inland cities. There are many other clubs and activities in and around Orange - bike riding, auto clubs, bush walking, bird watching. Enjoy walks on the property or in almost any direction. If you're into bushwalking take in the bush trails on Mount Canobolas - inhale the many different fresh smells, sights and incredible views around this extinct volcano - then enjoy a coffee at the Mountain Tea House. Bring your bike and cycle into town or around the area. Visit Lake Canobolas and enjoy a coffee at the LakeShore Cafe whilst watching the birds on the water. The Visitor Information Centre now has a Cycle Orange Guide where all the best cycle trails are listed. Try one of the 3 excellent golf courses in our town - or play a different one each day. Lakeview is a great place to stay if you are coming to the Bathurst 1000 - you get to enjoy the peace and tranquillity to contrast the excitement of the big race.
