Grattai is a small rural district in the area of the Mid-Western Regional Council. The secluded environment in the area makes it an ideal location for weekend getaway trips and holiday vacations. Although the district is situated in a remote area, it is in close proximity to the larger towns of Mudgee, Gulgong, Rylstone and Hill End. This allows both tourists and locals in Grattai to access many different types of services and businesses. Grattai is about 20 minutes drive south-west of Mudgee, the area has a rich Aboriginal, gold mining and agricultural history.
