I've been running short term accommodation properties for over 12 years and loved every minute of it. Along the journey I've learned a lot and met some amazing people from all over the world. Like every other tourism based operation we struck a bump in the road from March 2020. But on wards and upwards, we've dusted ourselves off and are open for business. NEIGHBOURHOOD OVERVIEW: Quiet and peaceful, South Hobart is a trendy city fringe suburb only 25-35-minute walk or 5-minute drive to the CBD/Salamanca/Docks and Wrest Point Casino. It boasts an exquisite array of cafes, restaurants, gift shops, interesting nooks and nature walks close by just waiting to be explored. HOBART MUST DO'S: Make sure you include Salamanca Market (every Saturday) on your itinerary. Other attractions include Mt Wellington Scenic Drive, Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, Mawson’s Hut Replica, Tasmanian Devils at Bonorong Wildlife Park, Bruny and Maria Islands, Cascade Brewery, Cascades Female Factory, Port Arthur, Richmond-where you’ll find Australia’s oldest bridge, MONA (Museum of Old & New Art) and the North Hobart Restaurant precinct. And that’s just a small taste of the many attractions on offer. GETTING AROUND: A regular public bus service operates from Macquarie Street. (5-minute walk from your apartment) Cab and Uber services that operate 24/7. Walking into the CBD will take 20-30 minutes. There is a scenic walking route detailed in your apartment.
