“Best location to stay in Xi'An, just outside the south gate of the old city, and conveniently surrounded by modern shopping malls with decent Western restaurants (as a nice escape from the tasty but oily Shaanxi food). The hotel is an iconic old hotel and was probably one of the only hotels suitable for foreigners 10-20 years ago. Rooms are slightly dated but clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself has good facilities including recreational rooms and a small gym.”

We want to acknowledge the hotel concierge, Tank, who helped us with our health codes and made sure we did not have any problems. The breakfast was really tasty, nutritious and balanced. “The location was brilliant. Close enough to walk to the old City wall, Bell tower, Drum tower and Muslim Quarter. The staff were very helpful, and helped us book Taxi’s when needed. A few of the staff spoke English, this was a great help. The hotel were really helpful in making sure we had rooms next to each other for our family of 4.”

“This hotel has the absolut best location in town - just in front of the big square and the south entrance of the city wall. At first I wanted to stay within the city walls, but this was MUCH BETTER. Our room has views of the wall and it was just perfect. Also, the room had the biggest bed I have seen in my life, very comfy.”
