Finca La Luna is a place of relaxation, immersed in nature, while still connected to fiber optic internet. Come to work or play! Breakfast is included (pinto with eggs) and if you choose to cook in the fully-equipped kitchen, we will happily share some of our fresh vegetables with you, which we grow mainly for self-consumption. Our small regenerative farm is in Costa Rica’s coffee-growing region, and at 1700 m above sea level has expansive views of San José valley from the balcony. The area is semi-rural and protected, so very lush. “Rush hour” on our road consists of cows making their way to pasture. Guests have been known to sleep over 10 hours the first night thanks to the tranquility and fresh air. Traveling with small kids? We’ve got books and toys and a kid’s bike, as well as a travel crib, high chair and baby bathtub.

I am a Chinese-born, German-raised Canadian-American citizen who is married to a Costa Rican geek and a mom to 2 kids. I feel at home on 4 continents and am a business executive working at software startups where I closely collaborate with very global teams and customers. I have traveled to about 30 countries. For fun, I do Taekwondo, HIIT, yoga, and love to cook (specialities are scallion pancakes, oxtail stew, miso-glazed salmon). I'll be on location to help you if anything comes up. Please also note that we have a dog called Nala who patrols the outside. She is very friendly.

Locals can spend a weekend getaway to the cooler mountain climate, to bike, hike, bird watch or simply chill with a good book under an avocado tree. Tourists can take day trips and retire to peace and quiet. The closest convenience store, bakery and restaurant are down the hill in Concepcion, about a 5 min drive away. Public transportation doesn't serve the road in front of the house, so a car or taxi is needed to get around, unless you like long walks. No 4x4 needed, as it is paved all the way to the house.
