After having managed a pancake and Breton specialities manufacturing company in the Rennes region, we changed jobs 6 years ago to become independent hoteliers: We first took over the Garden hotel, located rue JM Duhamel, then created in 2016 the Garden Apparts, rue Joseph Sauveur. We like to welcome our guests so that they feel at home in our only establishment on a human scale (25 rooms at the Garden hotel and 9 studios, the Garden Apparts). My husband is a sports fan (cycling and rugby), I love to cook (which allows us to offer homemade meal trays to our guests). We live in the countryside, have a large orchard, from which I make jams for breakfast, which is made almost entirely of local products. We work with 8 employees to provide all of the hotel services: cleaning and maintenance of the rooms, receptionists, night auditors. Property information

The Garden apartments were created in 2016 in a old character house, ideally located between the SNCF train station and the historical center, in a quiet street, near buses and tube stations. The private parking on reservation will allow you to visit the city by foot. The establishment was certified EUROPEEN by AFNOR CERTIFICATION in 2018 for its commitment to the protection of the environment. Each studio has a plant name which inspired its decoration: Linen, Bamboo, Cactus ... The renovated oak floors give the cozy and warm character of the apartments. Most of them overlook an interior courtyard, are equipped with 160X200 beds and kitchens with microwave, induction hob, extractor hood, fridge, espresso machine, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board... The ground floor apartment (palm tree) is equipped with a private spa in the veranda part and has a private fenced terrace. It is accessible to people with reduced mobility. The private duplex apartment is independent from the house and also has its private terrace. An equipped meeting room (8 people max) is available

Neighbourhood information

The house is ideally located between the SNCF station and the historic center, in a quiet street in the St Hélier district, which is one of the most popular in Rennes: the "rue St Hélier" offers many small shops (especially food) : a mini-market (50 m from the apartments), organic stores, bakers, caterers, cheese makers, butchers ... You can therefore cook your own meals independently in our apartment. The TNB, cinemas, museums of Fine Arts and museum of Brittany are located within a radius of 200m. The edges of the river Vilaine are arranged in this district for ballads or jogging for circuits up to 10 km. This district is also richly provided with numerous restaurants and bars for which we can advise you according to your aspirations. The opera house, the town hall square and the Thabor garden are around 500 m away. The Jacobins Convent (congress center), the Place des Lices (very nice Saturday morning market) and the cathedral are 15 minutes away on foot. You park your car and can do everything quietly on foot! If you prefer public transports, the central station "République" is 5 minutes on foot (metro and bus). You can also borrow us two bicycles.
