Holgate Road is the posh end of York with some fine old merchant houses and buildings on the way in to York city centre. No.42 is next door to a great antique and curios shop called Down the Rabbit Hole where you can browse for hidden gems. York cntre is just a 10 minute stroll with plenty of cafes, shops and bars on the way. The Minster is a 20 minute walk and York racecourse about 10-15 minutes.
