Boat trips into the Cuillins are very popular (if you do not wish to climb them) and going around other parts of the island allows you to see the Isle of Skye from the outside in! Locally you can also visit Armadale Castle, the Clan Macdonald Centre and you can catch a ferry over to the fishing town of Mallaig. There are a number of good restaurants within the area and they use local produce. There is a small store a couple of miles south and the biggest town is Broadford which is 15 miles north.
