Pocklington, a charming market town, is located in the Vale of York, at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds. Perhaps its most famous feature is the Burnby Hall Gardens, an 8-acre oasis of beauty that includes two large lakes and the National Collection of water lilies. Stunning Sledmere House, the ancient city of York, and the mighty Castle Howard are just a few of the nearby world-famous attractions. The town has a Civic Centre, a leisure centre where you can participate in a variety of sports like swimming, and the Pocklington Arts Centre where you can watch movies and see performances all year round. The KP Golf Club, located roughly 1 mile from Pocklington, features wedding and other event facilities, a stylish bar and restaurant, and an 18-hole championship golf course.
