Micklegate Bar is a couple of minutes walk from the door, and this will bring you directly onto the city's famous Bar Walls. Bishophill has a wonderful community feel and in less than ten minutes walk, you will find Bishopthorpe Road, an award-winning high street, with independent delis and eateries and Rowntree Park, all packed with locals. Menagerie House is less than a ten minute walk from York Train Station and city bus station. The nearest car park is a three minute walk from the property and there are several Park and Ride options available on the outskirts of the city. The best way to get around York is on foot and without exaggeration, the location of the property is perfect for just that. However, if you wish to venture beyond the city walls, there are plenty of bike and scooter hire options available.
