Court Cottage is the perfect base to explore 10+ stunning beaches, scenic walks by sea and country. Famous Salcombe and Dartmouth are just a short hop away. A car is recommended to enjoy the area but Frogmore is on the scenic bus route between Kingsbridge and Dartmouth running past several beaches. The coast is 10 mins drive away, as is Kingsbridge providing 2 supermarkets, a cinema and great restaurants.   There is parking for 2 medium cars up the hill from cottage.  Getting back to the main road will will require some reversing into the provided turning space. In Frogmore you can find: The Globe Inn – 3-4 mins walk down the hill to a traditional pub with good food and a lovely terraced garden for enjoying a tipple with the evening sun. Swell – also 3-4 mins walk down to a great cafe/deli which does superb Voyager coffee, hot pasties, freshly made sandwiches/toasties, cakes and local produce. Springfield Farm Shop – provides great fresh produce, groceries, beer/cider along with a great butchery.  Also has a café and an outdoor seating area with views of the creek to enjoy. It’s a 1 minute drive or you can walk across the fields (20 mins). The Creek – a stunning a feature of the village providing opportunities for bird spotting, walking and kayaking/SUP and leads ultimately to Salcombe and the sea beyond (not that we’ve got that far yet!).  It is tidal so check before you head off if you plan to travel by water! Petrol station and Spar supermarket – in the next village, East Charleton (2 mins drive) there is a petrol station and good sized Spar which sells Cook ready meals if you don’t fancy cooking.
