After running my York based company York Apartment Stays, offering holiday apartments in York city centre for many years, I have decided to branch out and purchase a country cottage. Grosmont Cottage is a newly renovated cosy well equipped self-catering cottage, located in the pituresque village of Ruswarp, a mere stones throw from historical Whitby. The cottage has two bedrooms and is perfect for families and benefits from ample communal outside space and parking. The cottage is located opposite Ruswarp Boating Lakes and Miniature Railway and has many wonderful walks nearby. The cottage sleeps up to 4 and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The cottage is located on a working farm and is set on top of a hill. If you have a low slung car you may have access problems - please contact us if this is the case. The cottage, although is set high on a hill is located quite near to the river Esk, as a result there may be times of adverse weather when the road to the cottage may become inaccessible, if you have a reservation with us we will contact you if this happens

Grosmont Cottage is located a short walk from the village of Ruswarp, just outside of the seaside town of Whitby. Ruswarp itself has a pub, village shop, fish & chip shop and a cafe. Along with tourist attractions such as the minature railway and river Esk row boat hire. Whitby is a short walk or drive away along the cinder track where there are numerous attractions including beautiful beaches, Whitby Abbey and Captain Cooks monument
