At 1250 feet, Emmetts on Exmoor is the highest farm on the moor. It is the ideal location for a peaceful break in the heart of Exmoor National Park, offering fantastically clean air and spectacular skies. Hangley Cottage sits at the foot of the main drive and enjoys excellent views of the moor from the garden - perfect for a BBQ! A host of local activities are just a stones throw away: walking, mountain biking, horse riding, sailing, fishing, shooting and country house tours, to name but a few!
There is a key safe outside the cottage so we generally leave guests 'to it' but we are usually always available at the end of the phone if you get stuck. Our house is part of the main residence so we are often onsite should you need us!
Hangley Cottage is a 5 minute drive from Simonsbath and 20 minutes from Lynton. Braunton and Saunton Sands are 20 miles away. You will find a Sainsburys in South Molton which is a 10 minute drive from the farm. You will need a car to access the property as public transport is very limited locally. There is space for one car on the driveway and two more just outside the garden wall.
