That was just a perfect place. I have been walking SWCP already for few days when I stayed for 1 night in this lovely house. Jane took care of every detail, bathroom was better equipped that I could imagine (was even the hair conditioner). Room was big, everything was so clean, so cosy, that was petty that I was there only for 1 night. In the morning I received best breakfast ever, and husband of Jane gave me a drive back to the track (thank you for that). 10 stars is too little

We've recently returned from a great week staying at the High Ways House. The setting is beautiful and access easy without having to drop into Woolacombe itself. Parking is easy and free and the welcome friendly. Breakfast was lovely. Our chosen family room was excellent and could not be faulted for cleanliness, comfort and facilities. Our host Jayne was outstanding. We needed to meet up with the rest of our family (staying in a holiday park) and she guided us around the area knowledgeably and pointed us to the best eating places and how to get around. She even made rhubarb and ginger cake for the grandchildren. The beds were comfortable, the shower excellent and we felt that nothing was too much trouble for our host Jayne and her husband who work tirelessly on the upkeep of the property. We would definitely stay at High Ways again.

The property itself was amazing with spacious living, dining and kitchen areas and it was comfortably furnished and well decorated throughout. Outdoors the hot tub, the pool and the gym were very nice extras. The property certainly had the WOW! factor when we walked into it but we were almost rendered speechless at the views from the back of the house over Woolacombe, its beach and local countryside. We had great meals at the Rock Inn, Georgham and the Blue Groove in Croyde. If its a takeaway fish and chips supper you are looking for our party were agreed that our meal from the Woolacombe Fryer was the best fish and chips we had had for a long, long time

Fabulous beach,. Plenty of toilets in the area. Good selection of cafes. Lots of footpaths and wilder areas to explore. Particularly enjoyed a visit to the Porthole cafe. Seating is upstairs or outside. Friendly staff, good coffee and vegan, gluten free cake. Popular area for surfing and there's also a riding school.

Visited in April so it wasn't very busy which suited us.

Visited in April so it wasn't very busy which suited us. The main beach was huge, very clean with sand dunes. Visited the Spar supermarket for essentials, there was a pharmacy but not many other shops other than a handful of food outlets such as cafes, fish & chips, pizza and pubs. We visited The Jube pub - lovely atmosphere, great food, huge portions! If we had stayed longer we would have probably gone further out of Woolacombe for more choice. There were also some lovely galleries and souvenir shops, and everything you could need for surfing! We did not try any of the activities that we saw were available such as crazy golf, horse-riding, ten-pin bowling and a cinema. Plenty of well marked paths to enjoy the stunning scenery - would advise understanding the terrain for anyone less able before hiking some of the coastal paths. Currently some construction work taking place at the end of the beach - there was no work taking place whilst we were there but there is plenty of construction fencing cordoning off an area by the main car park

Great location for a family holiday - there are plenty of restaurants and things for kids to do in Woolacombe or within a short drive. Beach is lovely (although check tides!), wind protectors are a good idea on a windy day and be careful with sandwiches or those pesky seagulls will have them ;) Seems like everyone was trying their luck with bodyboarding.

Woolacombe is a lovely place. I lived there for 18 years. My son still lives there . The beach has a blue flag. There are also several little coves to visit. Morthoe is very pretty, but not much to do there.

The venue was easy to find and had plenty of parking space (a real bonus in this area!) It was a short drive into Woolacombe. We were made very welcome and had a comfortable bedroom which although small had good storage space. We were given a lovely cooked breakfast, included in the price, in a large airy dining room. There was a varied and interesting evening menu on offer, although we decided to eat out in the evening by the beach. Thank you for looking after us well.

The location is perfect, the accommodation is fantastic. The employees are all so friendly and helpful. The apartment has everything one could need, it's modern, very clean and just makes you feel 'at home'. The extra little touches welcome basket of goodies to the fresh milk in the fridge etc. The indoor pool and sauna are spotless, the gym is fab and it's just a few minutes walk to the most beautiful ocean view.

Beautiful and glamorous, ideally situated on the Coast Path (if, like me, you are walking the route) in lovely private gardens. There is everything you’d want - swimming pool, spa, cinema, bar… The staff were great - the lady on reception was so helpful.
